Location:
The meeting place for young people is located at the lovely peninsula Strahlau. The home is located directly at the bank of river Spree and has a small jetty. Near the river is a well-tended cropped open space which is fenced round to protect groups of children. The property is best suited to group travel for children and young people. The quiet idyll of the peninsula offers excellent opportunities for relaxation in the midst of the exciting and noisy city. The city centre can easily be reached on foot or via the public transport, the ÖPNV. The bus number 104 and 347, and the S-Bahn Treptower Park are in the immediate vicinity.
Accommodation facilities:
The house offers 41 beds, which are split up into ten rooms. Sanitary facilities and shower rooms can be found on the ground floor and on the upper floor. A toilet suitable for the disabled is provided on the ground floor. On demand, we can provide a bedroom with two beds which is suitable for wheelchairs. The kitchen and the seminar room, both furnished, are located on the ground floor. The house has an open space which can be used in various ways, such as camping.
In addition, the meeting place can be used as a seminar place. We make available different media, such as flipchart, board, video projector, TV, video camera and moderation kit. An overhead projector can be used for a fee. On request, we can prepare seminars or assist as supporters during the seminars. It is possible for school classes to book topic units under professional guidance. Such topic units should be arranged one or two months in advance.
